Vegas!!!

What an exciting 48 hours in Vegas.  Let's be honest...that's all we needed!

VEGAS for H and J's bachelorette and bachelor parties.  There were 20 some people that came to celebrate these two fabulous people.  Portland, Bozeman, Billings, San Fran, you name it, people came to be with good friends and soak up the Vegas sun.  It was 100 degrees there for the two days we were there!  Now I can only write from the girls side of the party and I'm sure the boys side of the story is hilarious but there will be no speculation in this blog.  Now I must note that Vegas has this ability to turn back the hands of time and I feel like we turn into 21 year old kids...but with more knowledge and experience under our belts.

H, K, J and myself arrived in Vegas around 3 and after the limo ride thanks to fabulous K we met up with some college friends who were already at the pool.  We had some great pool time and then checked into our rooms at the Tropicana.

That night we got all dolled up and went to dinner at the MGM.  C lead the group through the giant hotel to our dinner reservations at Diego's and we ate expensive but delicious Mexican food.  From there we took H to her first male review club, Thunder from Down Under.  They are awful dancers but entertaining none the less.  Mostly we just pointed at H when they came by so she received many sweaty hugs from the Australian hotties.  After the show we went to a club where we danced until the wee hours of the morning.  J and I left "early" at 3am and walked most of the way back to the hotel barefooted.  Somehow this always seems like a good idea at 3am and I am in heels, in retrospect it is actually quite gross.  We were asked nicely to leave the hotel restaurant due to the no shoes as well.

J, L and myself slept in the next morning.  After getting ready we made our way to the MGM to find food as well as baby lions to take pictures with.  We found food in the form of a food court and no baby lions.  We got to the cabana and the fun with the whole group began.  We decided it would be a good idea for the girls and guys to mingle the 2nd day and so we jointly rented a cabana and spent all day lounging by the pool, floating/running into people on the lazy river and drinking rediculously expensive blended drinks.  It was wonderful.

That night we all went to Pure night club and got a VIP booth and bottle service and danced the night away!  It was nice for all of us to be together dancing and celebrating our friends.  Let me note that others stood in line for 3 hours for entrance and 1 hour for drinks, VIP and bottle service are the way to go, no waiting.  Boys listen up, you are not allowed to unbutton your shirt and dance like the guys from Thunder from Down Under...the bouncers put a quick stop to that!  We all made our way home at different times and at the end of the night it was T and myself and the boys gambling in the MGM.  At 4 am it's difficult for me to learn new ways to gamble so I amused myself with the penny slots while the boys played more complicated games.  T went somewhere to eat and eventually the penny slots lost their entertainment and I wondered home at 5am.  I fell into bed only to have J's alarm clock go off 2 hours later.  We packed out bags and L gave us a ride to the airport.  We had a slight mix up at the terminals and almost ran into a chain link fence that ran across the highway...Terminal 3 is NOT where Southwest departs.   We made it back to Portland and ended another epic adventure.  Vegas is one of the only places I am excited to arrive and just as excited to come home.

Happy Bachelorette and Bachelor Parties J and H.  You have many friends that love you and had an amazing time celebrating with both of you!!
